Born in The Shoals, Alabama, theStudio is a biannual creative journal that is visionary, delightful, provocative, intriguing, adventurous, and timeless. theStudio is where creativity happens; it is where people live, cook, sleep, exercise, and develop who they are and what they do. The journal will share and celebrate innovative ideas, interesting people, delicious food, exciting things to do, and fantastic places to go.

Robert Rausch, GAS Design Center founder, is a much sought-after photographer who also crafts luxury designs and impeccable fine art. theStudio is Robert’s vision to celebrate other artists and their art (as well as his own) in beautiful and collectible journals.

Shannon Milliman, TED Speaker, Certified Professional in Talent Development, playwright, poet, performer, storyteller, and Remote Shoals transplant. (Remote Shoals is a program administered by the Shoals Economic Development Authority.)

Eli Milliman is a songwriter, music producer, composer, and photographer. Eli’s bands have included Subterranean Howl, Fat Mannequins, Azar, and his current solo project, Urban Jack. Eli is the lead podcast engineer and online creator for theStudio.
